  1. Big Brother is the biggest reality show on TV. Take a handful of assorted housemates, lock them into a sensory-bending House and let Big Brother make the rules and you’ve got the recipe for one of the most talked about shows in TV history.

And now, it’s back, for a synapse-tweaking ninth series of unexpected action.

Essentially, Big Brother is a competition – one housemate leaves the House each week by a process of housemate nomination and public voting – until the final week. Then a public vote picks a winner who bags a fantastic cash prize.

But Big Brother is so much more than that.

Over the past eight series, lasting friendships have formed and romances have blossomed. There’s been laughter, tears, emotion and intrigue. Showdowns and drama galore – but a whole heap of good times too.

Big Brother makes the rules, and keeps the housemates guessing from the minute the famous doors close behind them until the very last second before the winner is announced.

Each week the housemates are given a shopping budget to buy their necessities – but this can swell or dwindle depending on how they do in the weekly tasks.

And no-one – not the housemates, not the public, not even Big Brother – can predict what’s going to happen in the House.

And that my friend is what Big Brother is all about.

  2. big brother is a games how about 13 people who are locked in a secluded house (its supposedly secluded. then again, it is hollywood) and they must stay in the house with the same people for 2 months and win challenges to become HOH and vote out one person each week. its a good show. some episodes are better than others, but its worth time.

  3. from Wikipedia

Big Brother is a reality television show. In each series, which lasts for around three months, a group of people (normally fewer than sixteen at any one time) live together full-time in the Big Brother House, isolated from the outside world but under the continuous gaze of television cameras. The Housemates try to win a cash prize by avoiding periodic, usually publicly-voted, evictions from the house. The idea for Big Brother came during a brainstorm session at the production house of John de Mol Produkties (an independent part of Endemol) on Thursday,September 4, 1997. The first Big Brother broadcast was in the Netherlands in 1999 on the Veronica TV channel. It has been a prime-time hit in almost 70 different countries. The show's name comes from George Orwell's 1949 novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, in which Big Brother is the all-seeing, all-controlling leader of the dystopian Oceania.

    ======================================...

this was season 10 in the US and there were 13 houseguests this season, there have been as many as 16 in the past

some of the seasons are better than others, so if you can't get into one season, try another

the house they are locked in is full of cameras, and they wear microphones when they are awake

no TV, radio, music, singing, books, or contact with the outside world

there are only two bathrooms in the house, one in the Head Of Household room and one for everyone else to share

you can only imagine living 24 - 7 with a group of strangers how crazy things can get

it is hosted by Julie Chen on CBS

    Expect the Unexpected :+)

  4. bb is people that r locked in a house for 3 months and try and win 500k

  5. Heck yes, I say watch it,,,  if you catch up real quick on this season, you can still watch it real Time.

We call it the Silly Addicting Summer Show  LOL

They put these 13 people in a wildly decorated house, the goal being , be the last one standing and win a heap of money.

The have competitions for rewards, food, they make alliances, promises, compete for the HOH  ( Head of Household ).  This person has the power to put two other member s of the house up to be eliminated from the house, by the vote of the others.

Every week someone gets the boot.  The two nominated get a chance to save themselves thru another competition that they can use to remove themselves from  "the chopping block."

There are a lot of twists and turns, and as you can imagine, a lot of personality conflicts,  and some of it it funny, and some of it is silly.

But, given it is Summer, and everything is in re runs,  I love it !

  6. George Orwell : All watching ( Big Brother) his novel.
