What is bit rate televison help asap :)?

On my new tv,we have just put DVD into it,dvd player works and has soun etc,we are atm puting in surround sound.there is a blue square that ses bit rate on it what does it mean? it hasa bar thats soort off like this IIIIIIIIIIIII------------- and the I's move .

and a number comes up the side!!!

help me please,is there any buttons on the changer/remote that might get rid of it?

  1. Bitrate is a rating of how fast information is flowing. In general the greater the bitrate, the greater the detail. There is always a bitrate on digital devices. yours just seems to be showing you what that bitrate is. No worries, someone just probably hit the wrong button.

    If so then you should have a Display or Info button on the DVD remote that should get rid of it (it may be labeled something else) If not then the TV will have something similar on its remote probably.
