  1. Bittersweet is used as a metaphor for experiences which have elements of both happiness and sadness.  As an example, your best friend is coming to see you but she has to catch a plane and she cannot spend more than 15 minutes with you.  Hope this helps.

  2. poignient, although I may have the spelling wrong, may be the word you are after.

  3. I'm sorry I don't understand what you are asking.

  4. it means it is happy and sad.

like being sick for 2months then finding out that you need 3 shots and you will be better. Its good that you can be cured, bad that it will hurt.

    is that what you needed?

  5. It's a mixed sensation that can be attributed to a particular food or sometimes to a particular situation.

"After its roots, which are said to taste bitter, then sweet when chewed."

  6. it's called an OXYMORON. it means like the opposites. such as jumbo shrimp. and it means good and bad at the same time. hope that helped! :)
