  1. It depends on the airline.  The 787 isn't actually flown by any airlines yet.

    Generally pilots will start out flying their airline's smallest plane, and then work their way up to the bigger planes.  777 and 767 are big, so those pilots will be the most senior ones at the airline, and will make the most money.

    $120/hour is probably around the top, if I remember correctly.  Most airlines it takes 12 years of employment to get to the top of the payscale for your airplane type.  But if you get promoted to a different airplane type, that doesn't reset back to 0.  Figure you'll get paid for about 80 hours a month.  That's just for time spent in the air.  All the necessary paperwork, waiting in the terminal for your next flight, etc. is generally not paid, but you still have to do it.
