What is boot camp like for the marines?

Overall, it was a challenging experience but it wasn't as bad as people say it was. The most challenging aspects of boot camp for me was swim qual., mind games the DIs played on us and the humps (hikes.) Other than that, it wasn't too hard. Every Marines experiences from boot will vary somewhat.

why does nobody think they have to capitalize Marines?it is a title that you must sweat and bleed for you should show some respect to those who have earned it.the closest thing you could get to a first hand experience without going is to watch to documentary Ears Open, Eyes Click.you can watch it in 5 segments of 20 minutes on dailymotion.com just type the title in the search bar.
