Do you think it is really true that the third part of a birth control pill can make you abort your one week old embryo? The thought makes me sick to my stomach.

No birth control pills do not cause abortion.  They prevent your body from releasing an egg so there is no egg to fertilize.  If for some reason you do release an egg (that 1% failure rate) and it is fertilized, the birth control pill has no effect on the embryo.
