What is bta?

hi,

i knew a girl who wants to meet me in italy. she said a bta is needed to get to italy. she's from USA, but is in laos right now for work.. can it be true? what is bta? american citizens need a bta to travel out of their country?

  1. There is no such thing as a BTA (Basic Travel Allowance).  It's a scam, usually run by online love/romance website.  DO NOT pay anyone a BTA.  

    Holders of USA passports can enter Italy without any visa or other requirements, and stay for 90 days.  In fact, noone needs a BTA to depart or enter their own, or other, countries.


  2. bta is basic travel allowance - its like a tax but I dont know if you have to pay it in italy
