Not the same as either. Cappuccino is made with espresso which is like a really stronge shot of coffee then they steam milk and fill the cup the rest of the way.

It's espresso with milk that is steamed until foamy.  Espresso is a strong, dark coffee made by forcing steam through flinely ground, dark roasted coffee beans.
