  1. this video will explain it :D

al gore used it in his inconvenient truth movie, and it was made for an episode of futurama ;)

  2. The Smoke which is released from factories & vehicles.

  3. The greenhouse effect. CO2 and other harmful gasses are released into the atmosphere but cannot leave. THe hover in the atmosphere unable to die down for almost 10 years.

  4. If you want some really detailed info watch an inconvenient truth.  Al Gore explains everything.

I just researched Global Warming and the impact humans have on the environment.  There are natural CO2 emissions but then humans are releasing more CO2 into the air by driving big cars and just wasting energy.

But i would suggest watching an inconvenient truth.  It is a great movie

  5. The Earth as I always say is a dynamic living environment.  Solar energy from the sun powers a huge weather engine on the Earth.  As pointed out, there are air masses and ocean current carrying vast amounts of moisture around.  Temperatures change as well as the self-regulating humidity.

So yes there is always "climate change."  But the difference is, it's not man that is causing it.  It is the Earth doing what it does, and what it has been for millions of years.  The only reason we're paying more attention to the weather, which for that part is a great thing, is because we have this need to build in areas we shouldn't.

Million dollar homes built right on a beach regularly taken out by storm driven waves.  There goes the the same rebuilt house for the fifth time.  Or we build neighborhoods of million dollar homes on mountain sides, and wait for an earthquake to send them all sliding down the mountain.

Or we build in flood plains, and watch our homes get carried away and blame it on man's activities.  No, it's because you didn't connect the words, "flood plain" to something that is known to happen and is very bad.

Climate change is happening, and it's old news.  Winters get cold, they always do.  There is a warm spell in winter, it's called the January Thaw.  Summer does get hot.  It is not uncommon to have 90+ temperatures in the summer.  Then there's always that cold snap for a few days in September.  Count on it.  Ever since global warming,  global cooling and climate change were thrust upon us, the weather has been doing pretty much as expected.

  6. ...Hot air from misinformed politicians.

  7. Easiest essay ever. The sun.

  8. Lee J could not have put it any better. As you should be aware that other planets in our solar system are going though the same as earth which leads to the fact that the sun must be the reason for our climate change. Don't get confused with climate change and global warming. Global Warming is a myth. Oceanographers will tell you that oceans are not rising and the islands that are disappearing beneath the waves due to them sinking.

  9. I'd use the old expression "the only think constant is change".

last, what effects might the world see.

  11. If you write an essay and use anything containing answers.yahoo.com in your bibliography you deserve an F grade.  My advice is to visit a university science library and read at least 20 recent peer reviewed papers in reputable scientific journals on the topic.  A good place to start your search for papers is Chemical Abstracts.  The references given in the recent papers will help you to identify the most significant older papers. Cross correlate your list with the Science Citations Index.  Go back to the library and read them too (there could be hundreds). Next, write your essay using the references obtained above.

  12. The "Climate Change movement" want you to believe that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is directly responsible for climate change, however this is an unproven theory.

Some answers to your question have identified the "smoke" coming from vehicles or factories where, in fact, carbon dioxide is an invisible gas - it cannot be seen.

There are many movies and resources online that will be able to help you with your essay. I believe from my own studies and research that a number of factors contribute to climate change including solar activity (the sun), cloud cover and water vapour. All these things are naturally occuring and not man made.

It is certainly NOT Carbon Dioxide that causes Climate Change.

  13. It is easy to blame others, the main cause are we the Humanbeings

We need to step out and need to fight for the global warming.

  14. Watch an award winning documentary by Al Gore - An Inconvenient Truth. or visit http://www.climatecrisis.net/trailer/

  15. First show me some global warming not caused by solar activity. From the 1850s through 1940 we had a noticeable warming fueled by a spike in sunspots. The warmest year here was 1934, which was cooler than the average during the MWP. Then through the 40s and 50s it cooled a little bit as Co2 levels rose dramatically. It warmed slightly in the early 60s and then cooled again in the 70s bringing on the great Hansen’s first appearance on the world stage promoting Co2 as a global cooling gas that was going to drive the world into the next ice age and starve or kill most of the worlds population.

Then just as this was getting off the ground the sun spot activity jumped again and things started warming up again. So on the advice of Al Gore Mann and Hansen rewrote their whole scenario to match his alarmist book and altered the NASA temperature records to coincide with Co2 levels. This heating period ended in about 2000 with the hottest year of the cycle in 1998 well below the 1934 record year. Since then low solar activity has allowed cooling to set in and real scientists are watching carefully to see what direction temperatures are going to do. Recently Hansen, Gore and some of the other alarmists have admitted to 20 years or more of cooling before it starts warming again, but they at this point are guessing the same as anybody else!

  16. Simply natural occurring cycles.  The Earth has cooled and warmed for millions of years..... with.... and without ..... Man.

  17. Climate change is a natural and normal process. It's been going on as long as there has been a climate to change.

Did you know that the Sahara Desert was once lush, green forest? And long before there were coal-burning power plants, or SUVs, or Al Gore to issue hypocritical warnings, natural climate climate changes turned the area into barren desert.

Or did you know that just a few hundreds of years ago, Scandinavians grazed sheep in the vast green fields of Greenland? Then natural climate changes brought about and end to the grass fields and they were covered by snow and ice year-round. Archaeologists have studied the remains of these Scandinavians and observed that as the climate change occurred, their diets changed from meat and vegetables to seafood. Eventually, they died out or returned to Europe.

Climate change happens. Always has, always will. What are it's causes? There are variations in the output of the sun. Changing ocean currents, variations in the Earth's orbit, volcanic activty, and probably hundreds of more variables that we know nothing about.

  18. Alana, if your essay has to be a pro-global warming one (as seems to be the case in most of our schools these days), not only do I feel sorry for you but my answer won't be of much help either.

Global warming is natural, along with global cooling and is mostly caused by solar activity.  The sun drives climate changes on earth.  Man has had no input...so manmade global warming is a myth.  It just isn't happening, actually it's impossible, in my opinion.  We have no ability whatsoever to create/change/modify world climate.  Yes, there's pollution, I agree.  But not enough CO2 - and we could never create enough even by burning every fossil fuel on earth - to affect the climate.
