Question:

What is causing my backpain?

It's about an inch on the right of my spine, and it always hurts real bad, and sometiems I get hot because it hruts so much. I heard it migth be cuz my b***s are big, because its kinda where my bra strap is, but I don't think that's it. I'll be 17 in almost 2 weeks and I'm 106 lbs with a size 34B, but I don't think that is the cause. I've had it for about 2 years. Could it be my posture (which isn't bad but could be better) or something else? After a car accident 6 months ago I was told to go to an orthopedic for my neck (which I don't need now because my neck is better) but would they help my back too or should I see a chiropractor? And any ideas why this is hurting?

Feel free to ask questions, I'll add details if you need it, so if you ask anything just come back and I'll tell you.

  1. ~ hi ~ ! It could be stemming from your original neck injury, but without seeing a Doctor it's hard to know for sure.

I would be really mindful though of your posture. I know my kids will sit all slumped over on their laptops and it drives me nuts. This is the mom in me, but make sure when you're on the computer you're sitting in a supportive chair - that is SO important. Especially, if you've already had spinal injuries.

I don't think the b*****s are the issue. I had a cousin who did have a breast reduction, but she was much larger than you and her b*****s were literally causing her spine to round forward in a manner unhealthy for a woman of her young age (she was in her late twenties at the time).

Just be very conscious of your posture in the things you do in everyday life. For relief try a hot water bottle or heat pad. Also liquid Ibuprofen helps (ask your parents first). I find it helps the pain and doesn't make you drugged up.

I notice you added a comment about your headache, that really could be stemming from the neck injury. The liquid ibuprofen might help, also alternating ice and heat - 15 minutes each. But, please talk to your folks!

I would really recommend your parents taking you in to the Doctor if the pain continues.

    I hope this helps. =)

  2. You may have injured your cervical spine (by your neck) & it is spreading down your back. (may be whiplash).

You ought to see an orthopedist who can do a MRI...& prescribe physical therapy &/or medication.

You ought to get the back pain checked out since you don't want pain for the rest of your life.

    Tell your parents.

    Try Aleve or Advil

    Put heat on your back.

I'm not too keen on chiropractors.

    Feel better.

  3. I would tell your parents and ask them if you could see a doctor.
