  1. hey........

u have a modem so guess it is a DSL connection ........

Check for the DSL light on the modem ......if it flashes t is a line issue ......

In case it is not flashing ..... check the following:-

Check it the modem is Placed ..... Make sure it is place on wooden surface.......

and if it would not help ....

behind the modem ... u would see a small pin hole called reset .... Push it in for 30 sec .....

w8 for the DSL light t go solid ....

open IE .....Put in the user name and password given by Ur ISP ...and attempt connection .. u will get a good connectivity ...

  2. This could be caused by a non-secure router where someone else is using your bandwidth, a bad cable (if you are using a CAT5 cable connection to your router) or your router is about to give out (mine did this right before it died).

  3. If this is dsl it can be a poor quality phone line, for cable a poor cable connection, it could be a problem with your ISP, maybe too busy. For dsl it could also be that you do not have a dsl filter fitted to every phone point with a piece of equipment connected.
