I have numbness in my thumb, ring and pinky fingers that come and go. I get pins and needles in my hands so easily too.

Once I had tingling in my right shin and it got worse when I walked. It happens at anytime of the day, but this morning when I woke it was quite bad. This has been happening for a few months now, I have a doctors appointment but I would like some opinions first. Thank you.

(I am 23 by the way)

  1. maybe a mini-stroke?

  2. Sounds like a trapped nerve, possibly in you neck. I have got one and before I seeked help my legs got pretty bad, too. You try to overcompensate and it all starts a chain reaction. I'm seeing a Chiropractor as well as an Acupucturist and between the 3 of us I'm recovering nicely. Try to get rid of stress in your life and hopefully you will find somebody to point you in the right direction. My GP prescribed anti inflamatories and some absolutely awful pain killers. I googled them and they can cause you hallucinate etc. I never took any regardless of the pain. Do your research and there are many natural cures as opposed to Western medicine, drug you out of your eyeballs,,Just my opinion.

  3. could be that the way your positioning it, it is causing it to fall asleep? I don't know, but if you are really worried see a doctor about it. Obvious its not your thyroid but it could be something else.

  4. Have your potassium levels checked. Also read up on Fibromyalgia and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. I have problems with all three, and they all cause pain (and fatigue with potassium and fibro)..
