What is causing these tiny white flakes all around my door frame?

I vacuum them up and they return the next day. I saw one ant but that is all. I've never seen ants create a mess like this. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Could easily be termites.  Call a professional termite exterminator right away.  They can cause massive damage to your home.
