What is cedar wood? Is it a spray, chunks of wood?? What is it?

I need it to get rid of silver fish. Also where can i buy it? What kinda shops??

Lebanon in ancient times was famous for its cedar trees.  Cedar is these trees and the wood from these trees. In the USA, native junipers are often called cedars.  Jewelry boxes, hope chests, book cases, and wardrobes were often made completely of or lined with cedar.  The aromatic quality of the wood repelled insect pests that damaged paper and cloth. Cedar also is recommended for pet beds to repel fleas.  Cedar shavings can be used to fill cushions in pet beds, or shavings and sawdust can be scattered outside the house on bedding of dogs and cats.

To repel silverfish, you can use cedar veneer to line closets and book cases, or you could simply use pieces of cedar, in small blocks, and place them in chests of drawers, closets and in other similar types of furniture.

Call a lumber yard and see if it has cedar veneer or cedar planking.

it comes in chucks and sheets.  you can get a Lowes and I have seen chunks  at Linens and Things.  The sheets at Lowes can be used to line drawers or shelves, nice.    Chunks sometimes come with hangers to hang inside closets.  They are made from actual cedar trees. The wood is processed like any other wood to make furniture or whatever.  Cedar has a natural smell that  repels insects, but you will enjoy it.  Mother nature's air freshner and insect repellent.

Cedar wood is wood from a cedar tree. It has been shown to repel insects and you can buy it in any hardware store (Ace, Home Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes etc...) Make sure you get Western Red Cedar as White Cedar is not as effective. Talk to someone knowledgeable in the store and they should be able to give you advice on where to place the wood and that type of thing. Good luck!

Cedar wood is actually a wood, you could try a hardware store.  You can get it shaved or in chunks.  Also try a building supply, such as Home Depot.  Cedar chests are lined with it so as to keep things you put in there safe from bugs.

it's a type of wood from cedar tree and some insects dislike it's smell.  you can get it maybe in a mega supermarket, in a natural foods store, in a wood shop, online definitely. i always keep a bit with my wool sweaters to keep moths away.
