    It belongs to cephalosporin group of antibiotics.

    It is used for bacterial infections.

    It is often used to cover upper respiratory tract infections(sinusitis etc).

    It is often prescribed for children too.

    People with penicillin hypersensitivity can use this, but still hypersensitivity can occur to cephalexin too.

    Dose: 250-500 mg PO qid
