I think it's quite amazing. China is so large and diverse that you can definitely find the types of tours that suit you. If you like shopping and nightlife, you would love Shanghai and Hong Kong (Beijing, as well).

If you like to explore cultural and historic sites, Beijing is the first place to go. Xi'an is also quite popular, but cultural sites are literally everywhere. From Harbin to Lhasa, you can find so many different types of historic places and monuments! (Beijing Opera and Shanghai acrobats are also great places to experience Chinese culture)

If you like nature, similar to the culture, there are so many places you could go! The Central and Western regions are considered to be the best places to experience China's natural beauty. Along the Yangtze River, Guilan, etc.

China is also great for spiritual tourism. With the Dalai Lama in Lhasa, Tibet, Buddhists obviously like to go there. Wudang Mountain is considered to be the Taoist mecca, and Qufu for Confucianism. There are of course many historic religious sites outside of these cities.

There are also many different ethnic groups within China, so traveling to different regions will give you very different views and experiences in China.

I loved China. It's an amazing country with rich culture and extensive history. To truly see everything China has to offer, it would take a LONG time! I have seen a lot of beautiful places, but there are many famous places I have not been (like Xi'an, Lhasa, etc.). China's diversity makes it a great place to travel. Like I said, you can find places in China that suit all types of travel!

If possible stick to Northern China
