  1. First of all, you do not "achieve" Chi. Chi is your inner energy.  Think of it like the electricity that powers your body.  All your nerves are like power chords, and your muscles are like electric motors or pistons.  Your brain is the processor that keeps everything running correctly.

Learning to just recognize your Chi takes years.  Learning to manipulate it takes much longer.  It is a very long process.

Chi has been dramatized by movies and idiots.  For one, Chi CAN NOT extend outside the body.  Two, it cannot affect any other person or being.

What it can do is increase your stamina, speed, and endurance.  It can bring about additional strength with the same muscles (we only use about 30% of our muscles capacities).  It can control pain.    The only way I have ever been able to show someone that Chi exists is to put on a mood ring and make it change colors by bringing my Chi to that finger, or taking it away.  And year of training, that is about all I can do with it.

Chances are you will not be able to realize your Chi's potential without training and exercise.

  2. This has been answered a thousand times, so you get the abridged version.

Chi (ki, qi, chakra, etc.) is internal/spiritual energy that all living things have, so the short answer is that you already have Chi, you just don't know how to use/manipulate it. This skill is earned through years of hard work, meditation, and determined practice through martial arts and 'zen' concepts.

For the record - your being a 'fat guy' has nothing to do with using chi. It will, however, make your fighting ability far less, and as such you'll never be able to use your chi to full potential because, no matter how adept you are at manipulating chi, your body will not be able to reach it's full potential.

  3. Chi or Ki, depending on what you are studying, is generally referend to as your center of balance.  When mastered you can generate enourmous amounts of power using the physics of your body.  It is not magic.  Aikido has some great techniques and drills to not only strengthen your Ki but also make you more aware of the feeling of being in balance.

  4. chi X 2 = CHI CHI which means TittieZ
