  1. a coastal zone is a strip of land which borders large areas of water, such as lakes and seas.


  2. Well, you can asume that it consisted of Costal waters. The coastal waters is  the adjacent shorelands, and many shorelines of several coastal states, and includes islands, transitional and intertidal areas.

    The coastal zone are area bounded by the Pacific Ocean and specific geographic area like in the California Coastal.

      

    Some of the coastal areas are located  as follows:

    Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, SFO/Bay California, Connecticut, Delaware Florida and Georgia.

    These area of waters,  where the ocean meets the land, which constitutes 10 percent of the ocean's area but contains 90 percent of all marine life species.

    Yeah, you can see a lot of the Marine life in some areas of the Coast of California i.e. Sfo Bay & Monterrey.
