What is code reseau in bank transaction terms in Canada?

Hey all,

I lost my laptop today and was able to trace back to the person who took it. The manager of the supermarket found the guy on the video and was able to pull out his debit card transaction at the store. This is in Montreal Quebec. However, as usual, the information was very limited. There was only a code reseau which was 84824101 and the last four digit of the Interac number (debit card number) being **** **** **** 0187. Does anyone know which bank this is referring to? I couldn't really figure out how to trace back to individual banks using their transit number.

btw, this is also handled by police. It doesn't seem to be quick in progress.
