If coffee is made out of beans, does that make it a vegetable?

no .... the "bean" that it's ground from is more like a seed.  No more than beer could be considered a fiber/grain because of the hops;  or vodka considered a vegetable because it's made from potatoes

Its a drink. If it was a vegetable you would have to chew it.
