  1. The best possible time in college is when you actually enter as a freshman. There you meet new people from who are nothing like the homogeneous class you experienced in High School. Since you don't have to graduate in 4 years, you're pretty much protected from the future for a while. All your friends are loyal and you hang out do things like illegal drinking and smoking pot, and staying up all night long just thinking about random stuff. Now, senior year is kind of the opposite. You're busy trying to finish up the degree, you're not sure if you'll graduate at all, your friends are so focused on their own lives that loyalty and friendship are a distant memory. You just are not as carefree as you were, and reality bites hard. I don't care whether this is a third tier party school or Ivy League, this is generally how things trend. Of course you will meet some very good friends in college who you will remain in touch with, but just the pressure of reality eventually tears you apart. The lesson here is it's all a cycle, and enjoy it while you still can.

  2. A little scary at first, but within a day or 2 you'll have new friends and it's fun checking out the campus ,where to eat,how to get to classes , where to find study groups, social groups etc.
