(a reciept from a cash register)

commercial is from the word commerce

or business

so any business's recorded (printed or electronic) documentation of a sale, or transaction.

invoices can be unpaid, also

like if I had 100 boxes of captain crunch sent to me, they would send me a bill, or an invoice, that I would have to pay.
