I know the obvious liquids... but what about shampoo, shaving gel, toothpaste, lotion, body gel, etc.

  1. Well they are solids, so they must be liquids, don't you think!

  2. If it pours or spreads, its included. Think cream, paste, gel or liquid. A solid deoderant is not but a gel is. Things like face cream, toothpaste/gel, mascara or lipgloss are included.

  3. anything that moves like a gel or liquid. anything thats not a solid.

  4. anything with a ml (mililetres) on the side of it

make up counts, even sometimes wet wipes

  5. All your toiletries are considered liquids, including solid bar soap (I learned that from a friend who was traveling recently - apparently there's a theory that you can melt it down, or something stupid like that).

As long as all your stuff is under the 3oz size, and fits into a clear, 1 quart ziplock bag, you're fine.  If there's anything you aren't sure about, put it in your checked luggage.  If you're not checking or plan to do a gate check, then just leave it at home and buy it when you get to your destination.
