My Mother in Law brought back pizza in box from her late dinner at a pizza place around (10:00) after her last bite was around 9:20. I had already eat dinner for that day. Having the munchies and ate some. Is that considered to be a left over?

The next day 15yr old Niece was eating my dinner from three days ago. I said I never eat leftovers. And she said, yes you did yesterday when you ate Kims (mother-in-law) pizza.

Run down, got into argument and we post on yahoo answers.

Tell me if eating the pizza was considered a leftover.

  1. Although looking at the term literally "leftovers" it would seem to be. But I usually consider leftovers to be from the previous day so I would say it wouldn't be leftovers.

  2. I consider leftovers to be whatever is left over from a previous meal. Whether the meal was hours or days ago, it's still leftovers.

  3. Well techinally, its your mother-in-law's leftovers, which you ate, so really you did eat leftovers. However, i agree with the contributer above, i consider leftovers as food that has been left until the next day. So its all down to each person.

  4. If it aint eaten it's a leftover.

  5. It is my opinion that this would be considered leftovers.  I think this, because it was not finished, put into a leftover's box, taken home in the car, and a little bit later eaten again.

also you had all ready had dinner, and this was your late night snack, making it a new meal.  Please consider this.
