What is considered high on a ph probe test?

My son is having a ph probe test done, and the monitor keeps going back and forth between 6.5 and 8.2. Is this considered a lot of acid?

under 7 is acid. over 7 is alkaline.

if i remember correctly normal blood ph is between 7 and 7.5.

6.5 to 8.2 swing might be normal.
