  1. depends on the vehicle. for example, 26 MPG is great for a SUV, but not real good for a compact (you should easily average 30+). sports cars and luxury cars tend to be worse on gas, while compacts and family cars tend to be very good. SUVs and pickups are horrible. it also depends on the engine. in the same car, a V6 in worse than a straight 4. turbodiesels (few in the US, sadly) get more. hybrids as well, but they're effectiveness is limited somewhat by the way they operate. motorcycles are great, if you can ride and don't need to take people or things anywhere

  2. not that i'm a expert but id say 30 mph and above would be considered good

  3. Well, with the price of gas raising so much, i would go with a vehicle with 20-30 highway miles per gallon.Hope that helped!

  4. I've heard that 30 miles per gallon on the highway is good..

  5. That all depends on what type of vehicle it is...small car, mid-size, large car, small pick-up or SUV or large pick-up or SUV...

There is a huge variation in these mileage ratings.

  6. car- 30 ish is good

    truck- 20 ish is good

    v12 supercar- 12 is good

    suv- 17 ish is good
