What is consign?

I have been looking at a few websites selling autographed items of artist. Some of it states that it is "CONSIGN". What does it mean? Its the autograph faked or is it computerized or what? Kinda blur with this, haven't been doing much online shopping!

  1. It,s short for consignment it means they are selling it for someone else and have a commission in the price!


  2. con sign means to send or address to an agent to be cared for or sold. The site is selling it for someone else for a commission of the sale.
