In international law perspective, what is constructivism? How does it differ from realism and rational functionalism? Can I get some examples? Thanks.

  1. Constructivism may be considered an epistemology (a philosophical framework or theory of learning) which argues humans construct meaning from current knowledge structures.

Realism tends to deal with the arts, but also deals with international relations and law.

Functionalism is the philosophical basis for much empirical research in psychology and cognitive science, which says that “mental states are constituted by their causal relations to one another and to sensory inputs and behavioral outputs”   The links below offer several examples and clarification.  Good luck.
