when u want to buy some thing u need consumer awareness or u may buy a low quality pen {for eg}

only when u know about the products in the market it is said u have consumer awareness

it is made possible thru advertisement

when u buy an adulterated good and have receipts u can file a case and win easily and get compensation

A consumer must be well informed about his rights so that if he is cheated he can  take such steps to get proper response from the service provider or can appeal to an appropriate court. The process involved is to write to the service provider about the product if he does not  response go to the consumer court.

Recently Insurance companies had to pay compensation for refusal of services.
