What is consumer marketing & how would a degree in it benifit me

Because i am thinking of doing that as a degree because i enjoyed doing marketing at college.

There are two forms of marketing; business to consumer marketing and business to business marketing. In business to conusmer marketing (b2c), corporations are attempting to sell a product and rasie awareness of a brand to everyday people (consumers), in business to business marketing, one corporation is attempting to sell their products to another business. An excellent example of b2c and b2b marketing is the credit card industry. When a crdit card company advertises a credit card for consumers it is b2c, but when a "business card" is advertised it is b2b since one business is selling a product to another business.

If you become a consumer marketer, you'll be marketing consumbles such as food products. An excellent example is Nestle's water. As a consumer marketer you might be presented with the challenge of raising awareness to the Hispanic community of drinking bottled water. As a consumer marketer you have to culmintate a conversation with your users.
