What is cortona italy like?

Is cortona italy a nice place to visit? Is it a great place to stay at? Also, how is the night life in cortona, are there any clubs/discotecca's ?

i think you're talking about CROTONA!I'm Italian and I've never heard cortona...if it exist is real small...Crotona is bigger but not so famous...it's cute but if you can go to visit also other big cities

We were in Cortona two months ago.

It is a nice modest sized town for a day trip.  We weren't looking for any night life, but given the size of the town, I'm sure we would have seen it.  We actually stayed around for a concert at a wonderful old community theatre.  But that was a rare experience.

Good to visit.  I certainly don't think it would be a great place to stay.  Go for Sienna, much more happening there.  The campo (the main piazza) has students out chatting until 4:00 in the morning.  I think Sienna is much better than Florence - less traffic, more locals, great restaurants, but with plenty of life.

We stayed for a week and loved it.  Didn't partake of the night life, but we sure saw that it was there.

Cortona is a small town near Arezzo in Tuscany...Look on internet..It is a village full of history...there is everyting..bar..clubs an discoteques..
