Ok, here's a real life example.

I got a ticket for making a left turn into a parking lot and cutting through it to avoid a traffic light.

I didn't know it was illegal.  There was no sign posted saying that it was illegal.  But the policeman saw me and gave me a ticket anyway, even though I was ignorant of the law and did not break the law intentionally.

Now, after paying a $72 ticket fine, I know better.  ;-)

Crime of ignorance is normally considered to be racism. Not techically illegal to think something bad about somebody that is a different race.

Ex. KKK, n**i's, Archie Bunker.

First poster is talking about ignorance of the law, and that is no excuse.
