  1. It is a device that you can set to maintain a constant speed, that you select, with your foot off the accelerator.

  5. It's a lazy device for lazy people (Americans usually, sorry). You can sometimes find them on some models such as the Vauxhall Vectra and Ford Mondeo. The control is usually on the stalk and you can flick the switch at a desired speed, tap the brake or flick the switch to disable it. It will cruise at that speed always but wont change gear for you unfortunately.

  6.   Cruise  control  is  when  you  set  speed  and  just  cruise  to  the  speed  limit   and  not  touch  your  gas  pedal,when  touch  your  breaks you  just  push  the  button  and  get  back  to  it,get  it  ?  it  does  explain  it  in  your  manual  too.
