The video & audio quality is highly dependent on the broadcast material itself, the resolution(HD or SD) of the movie and the player if on DVD/Blu-Ray. There's not much difference among diff. TV brands.

Just got a Sony flatscreen LCD and it's not as good as our Panasonic LCD flatscreen.

Same resolution as each other but the Panasonic is so much clearer.

the best is a full HD 1080p. they are sold in LCD and plasma varieties with many brands to choose from.

sizes also vary ranging from around 40 inches to 80 plus.

shop around and take your favourite movie with you. that way you can really tell how it looks. a movie on bluray will look even better if you have one.

I work in the highend electronics industry and i have to say the best tv in the world i think is the Pioneer 508LX, its full HD, 50inch's and has the deepest blacks of any tv in the market at the moment, the tv its self has no speakers inbuilt, but they can be added. Look on pioneers website, they make the best tv's in the world, in my opinon.
