  1. you only cycle your tank on the start

    which means, you set it all up and the tank will go through the cycling process

    the difference to freshwater, is that you actually use salt in a brackish tank, which comes closer to a saltwater tank

Cycled brackish water is refering to water waith a small amount of salt that has already began its ecological cycle.... meaning it has run through filters for about a week and a tester fish has been placed inside the tank to get the bacteria started. You should only have to cycle new tank water once.
