  1. Not bad, actually.  It is outside the Greater Toronto Area which counts for a lot.  Student housing is good and affordable.  Public transportation to McMaster is convenient and reasonably priced.  It's not Toronto, but there is still lots to do.  Overall it's not as expensive as most university cities.  Good luck!!
