i wnat to buy a new sony handycam. i can aford 20 to 30 thousand rupees on it. i want to know witch model suits for me.

can a cyber shot be a replace to handycam?

Cybershots are digital cameras and the video quality is nowhere near that of a Handycam. I'd say, shop around. Go out to electronics stores and find cameras, not just Sony cameras, that fit your budget. Write down the model numbers and look them up on the internet. Panasonic and JVC cameras are great, too.

Handycams have great build quality and they are guaranteed to work. That is what sets them apart from all other cameras.

Do not get a DVD camcorder. They are terrible to use. You may as well stick with tapes.
