Hey there, i am travelling at the end of next week and am slightly confused when reading the carry on luggage policies of some of the airlines.

Most airlines say on their site that you can bring one personal item [such as a handbag or a purse] plus carry on luggage of miscellaneous dimensions. I am proposing to bring on board carry on luggage, plus a bag containing my blackberry and ipod, but are these also counted as personal items, and cannot be checked in as it could be over the limit?

  1. The bag carrying the I pod etc will be considered personal luggage.

  2. You will be fine with that.  You won't be over the limit.

  3. that's perfectly fine. just make sure the bag isnt huge.

  4. Thats fine. You can bring a suitcase and a backpack or laptop bag or something like that. I always have a big bag with my carry on stuff and my laptop with suitcases checked. If I carry on my suitcase, than I try not to bring my laptop.
