  1. i think MOB is more used as in violent terms like...."the angry mob"........... CROWD can be used as a good and or bad thing


  2. A mob is a crowd that is out of control usually. Sometimes the words get used interchangably, but usually a crowd is less hostile.

  3. A group of kangaroo is called a 'mob'. It can't be a crowd.

  4. A crowd can be a crowd of random people doing different things in a highly populated area. (Ex: There was a crowd of people in the subway.)  A mob is a crowd of people with one intent or purpose.  Usually it is used to describe people who are out of control.
