  1. Tornado Watch- atmospheric conditions are favorable for tornadoes

Tornado Warning- a tornado has either been sighted by local law enforcement, trained weather spotters, or detected by Doppler radar

  2. ok I hope I have this correct.

Warning means that tornadoes have been spotted so  highly beaware of the  weather situtation because one could be headed your way.

watch means, there is a potential of having tornadoes in your area. but nothing has been spotted.

Be careful anyhow and check the weather. I have a warning also.

  3. a watch means conditions are right for a tornado to form

a warning means either a tornado has been seen or detected on Doppler radar

  4. watch- when the weather is just right for tornados and one could happen.

warning- when a storm chaser or someone else has spotted a tornado the weather stations warn people that it is coming

  5. No question is stupid, at least not here.

A watch means that conditions are right for that weather event (tornado, thunder storm, blizzard) to occur. A warning means the weather event has been sighted.

  6. A watch means that there is a chance that with the conditions, there could be a tornado.

A warning means that one has touched ground somewhere and has been seen.

So, basically, a warning is worse.

  7. they the same because  when a warning appear, you see stuff flying in circle and when it's getting stronger is a tornado warning and a watch at the same time.

use the source i give you

  8. Watch- conditions are are right and capable of producing tornado.Stay tuned to the weather.

Warning- Rotation is present in the storm, a funnel cloud has been spotted, or there is a tornado on the ground...seek shelter.

  9. we have some smart ladies here

  10. watch-there could be one

    warning-the have spotted one

  11. A tornado watch simply means that weather conditions are favorable for creating the kind of "super-cell" thunderstorms that typically spawn tornadoes.

A tornado warning means that either advanced radar or a storm spotter (Or BOTH) have confirmed the presence of a tornado in a particular area.  If you a under a tornado warning, you should take cover.

Tornado watches can cover an entire state, or multi-state region.

A warning is going to pinpoint cities and counties in te path of a known twister.

In my home state, a watch doesn't scare anyone.
