  1. There basically the same but with a guest house you have use of the room all day where as with most B&B's you don't

  2. The Price.

  3. Bed & Breakfast is a tarrif and a guest house is a buissness .

  4. Bed and breakfast is just what it says.........Guest house is usually longer term and with some access during the day.

  5. the only difference is in the name

  6. A bed and breakfast establishment differs from a guest house in several facets.  The B&B lodger typically is looking for just the two amenities, a room for the night and breakfast service the following morning.  They generally will spend the day away from the B&B, conducting business or sight seeing perhaps.  B&B's don't offer full service acommadations such as laundry facilities, snack bar or game room or other such activities.

A guest house usually has many more rooms for lodgers.  They have no policy that preclude guests from remaining in their rooms through the daytime hours.  Guest houses may offer three meals per day either with menu service or ala carte.

B&B's tend to be privately owned establishments where the owners live on the premises, while a Guest House may be owned publicly and be managed and staff by a professional company.

    I hope this helps.
