  1. Today in this Country, I do believe your question embodies both subjects, as we are going in the direction of a huge Cultural change...or that is what some people wish for, and the Social aspect runs alongside it. At the moment it is rampant with our Government who are trying to alter our way of life by going along with it. English cultures are being fazed out, to let in this new idea that we have to accept it.and there first target is in the Schools where even the language culture is being brought in and English pupils have to learn it.....It does not matter that we are an English speaking Country, as Politicians are urging this on.There has to be a halt soon or we are on the road to h**l.

  2. One of my professors taught that "society" is dead.  We now talk about "culture" instead.   He would never state anything directly, but he was suggesting that the United States Of America once had borders, a clearly define area, and relatively cohesive traits, values, and  beliefs.  Today, forces are actively trying to remove our now blurred borders, and we no longer have cohesive traits, values, and beliefs that sustain a "society".  We are becoming many peoples occupying a land mass, divided by cultural practices and beliefs.

America has experienced social change from its beginning.  The growth of factories caused tremendous social change that evolved into cultural change as factory owners began importing people of diverse cultures to expoit in lowering wages for those already here.  The English and German people were somewhat "culturally" different from the Irish and, more so, the Italians, but there were enough similarities that they could easily adapt to the "social changes" and meld into a cohesive "culture" with shared traits, values, and beliefs.  The growth of  industry, communication, transportation, and business created massive social changes and culture evolve from those changes.   The more people have in common, the more effectively and efficiently they adapt to culturaly social changes.

Looking at the importation of slaves from Africa with hindsight, it is easy to see the disaster to come.  Many Irish, english, and scottish  were imported, basically as slaves, but they shared many traits with the dominant culture and assimilated relatively easily.  African appearance and culture was/is so vastly different that assimilation has not been fully effective to this day.

If one reads the historical accounts of jews it is apparent that they NEVER wanted to fully assimilate into American culture.  They quietly lived as a nation within a nation.  In the 1960's many jews manipulated or supported blacks in creating a massive social upheaval that has literally fragmented America into a collage of diverse groups.    The social changes of the 60's has resulted in a disjointed mish mash of competing cultures that became special interest groups.  We are well on the way to a fall much like that of Egypt, Greece, and Rome.  Social changes have created so many diverse cultures and so many concepts of right and wrong, that those who are supposed to represent us cannot, because they are elected by coalitions of various diverse groups that often  cannot agree on very important issues.  The result is that  ALL of us are now taxed without representaion.  The government is no longer ours, and it is incapable of actually representing anyone because to represent one group is to alienate another.    What we end up with is competing cultural groups with glazed eyed fanatics in the extremes, pulling America apart, and because of the diversity, there is no solution.

Social changes impact cultural behavior, and cultural behavior, or lack of,  generates social change.  When society  becomes too diverse it begins fragmenting into competeing groups.  A little diversity stimulates any system, but overwhelming diversity destroys any system.   Anyone with a three digit IQ should see this clearly.  People just don't like reality when it is painful, and when there is enough diversity, they simply deny reality.  They destroy the very society that gave them the strength to do it.

I do not know if I answered your question, but I responded to your question as honestly as I can.
