  1. They are similar philosphies that define a political system.  Socialism  has been integrateded into other ideologies, such as unions, parlementarian systems, etc. Communism typically refers to a specific system of central control and planning of the government over the people.

    A true communist model has yet to succeed.

  2. Socialism is a economic system

    Communism is a government type.

    Cheers.

  3. Socalism is watered down communism. Its the redistribution of wealth for the common good that is the same thing. Union where good at one time but now all unions do is complain and want more money for less work. They force companies to move their business to China, India etc where they can pay people $1 a day. So people link unions to communism.

  4. The same as starving or staving a little slower.

  5. In communism there are no clear limits to individual decisions, and exposures to others for their decision processes (this is the short answer).

    In socialism there is a construct hierarchy that lineates what is acceptable and what is not acceptable within the community, while it provides enough unrestriction of decision processes within a limited environment.

  6. Socialism  =  the government controls everything

    Communism=  the government owns everything
