  3. Rowing mis a general term that refers to craft that are propelled by oars or paddles. It refers mostly to sport craft such as kayaks and canoes and other vessels that require elbow grease to move.

       Yatching refers to larger (more luxurious) vessels that have motors or sails to propel themselves.
