  1. SWIFT - (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication ) is the code used for identifying the banks for international fund transfers. This is used for international transactions.


    IFSC - ( Indian Financial System Code) - is used for identifying particular branch  (specific branches with inter-bank fund tranfer facility) of a particular bank. This is used only for domestic fund transfers within India.

    If you are getting Money from Outside India in British Pounds – the 11 digit Swift code for all ICICI Bank is – LOYDGB2LXXX
