  1. Well there are lots of things. I go to high school myself and love it. You don't have the same teacher all year. You have different teachers for different subjects. You have 8 periods a day that usually go for around 40 minutes where you go to different classrooms depending on the subject you have. You have 2 recess breaks and a lunch break. You usually have them between each 2 perods of the day. You have more variety of sport that you can do. You can also travel to sports by bus that are a bit to far to walk to like the Ice Skating Rink, Super Strike or the Beach. Most high schools have a year advisor for every year from 7 to 12. These are the teachers that organise year excursions and also listen to any problems you might be having.  In year 7 they will ask you what electives you would like to choose. These are 2 different subjects that you can do. Things like dance, woodwork, metalwork, cooking, sports studies, visual art, photography and digital media, child studies and more, depending on which school you go to. You are able to choose these in year 7 for year 8, and in year 8 for year 9+10 which count towards your school certificate. I hope this is the information you were looking for.

  2. High School presupposes seven years at Primary school so it is a development. Children go from one class teacher and a few specialists (Music, Art, Sport etc) to all specialists in High School.

Discipling Kindergarten is different from discipling sixth grade and vastly different from Sixth Form where, hopefully, no external disciplinary methods should have to be used.

Teaching methods should also progress from having to hold a small child's hand when writing his first words to issuing the topic for an assignment with the certainty that the adolescent cand do his own research and produce a polished essay.

The curriculum will have developed from study of the family to study of the world.

Your biggest challenge will be in defining the areas you are going to look at as it is a very big area, unless, of course, you are writing a book.

  3. You start out as the little kid and you learn lots more stuff

  4. The main difference is high school you have many teaches - one for each subject in different classrooms whereas primary school you have the one teacher for all subjects in the same classroom.

  5. Primary school in Australia is usually with one or maybe 2 teachers (co-shared) for the whole year. The class all stay together and do the same subjects.

High school you are still in one class (form) but you have different teachers for different subjects and as you go on in high school you can do different subjects to your class mates and so you aren't together as a whole class many times of the day.
