  1. Human Resourses Management relates to Planning / development / deployment of manpower in the right place at the right time with all future projections and expectations. It is a sensitive assignment meant for cool headed executives who do not panick or creat unseemingly atmosphere. Close rapport with the Unions or Labour representatives.

    Personnel Management is confined to management of existing manpower, pay and grade scales, assessement of annual staff reports.

    The post of HRM & PM depends on the size of a Corporate setups and in small organisations - the post at many times is combined.


  2. HRM is a broader term than PM .. rather it would not b wrong 2 say dat now-a-days PM no longer exist in isolation.Its HRM there only.In HRM all humans working in the organisation are considered to b an asset of dat org...just like other assets like building, machinery, etc
