Celeron m 400 series FSB 533, 1MB, yonah, one core

Core solo FSB 533, 1MB, yonah (without centrino), one core

The celeron m is near pentium m performance for very basic needs

The core solo is near Core duo performance with good performance.

  1. Maybe the number of transisters used is different, hence the better performance on complex tasks.  Do a google if you're really keen to know but the simple answer is don't get a celeron if you can afford a P4 or core 2 duo cause you'll be sorry.  It'll work fine for the simple things but beyond that they're (relatively) slow.
