What is does dapping mean? something they did in the military?

ok so my teacher in class today said if we find this out we get 10 extra points what does dapping mean he said its something they use to do in the army anyone know??

  1. The first answer is correct. Blacks in the military in the 60's and 70's did the dapp, a ceromonial handshake when greeting each other in the chow line ect. I became quite bothersom to blacks and whites alike at every negro would have to dapp every other  negro in the room just to repeat the act when another one entered the room. I once witnessed a negro miss chow because of dapping. It was supposed to be named in honor of a black soldier named John Dapp who was killed in Viet Nam. I can not find anything in writting to verify this, however fact is Dapping is when one man slaps the face of another man with his p***s as a form of insult.
