What does downgrading your psp mean? How is it done? Does it effect the psp?

  1. Downgrading is basically when you take a higher version of software/hardware and lessen it. For instance, let's say you have firmware 3.73 and you want version 1.50. You would need to "downgrade" your current software/hardware. The only problem with this is you stand a chance of "bricking your psp". This means your psp acts as a brick, it doesn't do anything. The only way to get your psp unbricked is by buying a pandora battery. Not sure on the price, but I know it works. I used my buddys once, it's pretty much like a firmware reset button. I have firmware 3.95 right now, but if I used pandora's battery, I would have version 1.5.
